Reviews of craft beers, beers from local brewers, and beer styles, as well as learning how to judge the taste of a beer.

With so many beers out there to try, it’s really hard to know what’s going to be good before you buy. Especially with a store here in Rochester, NY like Beers of the World, where to start? There’s a lot of great sites out there (a couple in my right column links) that have beer ratings. I recommend you check these sites out if you haven’t already. I’ll never be able to drink that many beers… I hope that in my own process of learning about tasting beers, I can introduce you to beers you haven’t tried as well as share insight into what common flavor profiles are found in different beer styles. I will also discuss what events during brewing can lead to certain off-flavors or other qualities that affect the tasting experience.
